Mints grow well in partial shade and moist soil. They work great in containers. Mints can be used in teas and cuisine.

Apple-Mint Salsa

Ingredients:
2 small Granny Smith apples
1/2 cup red bell pepper, chopped
1/2 cup red onion, chopped
1/4 cup fresh mint
1/3 cup fresh lime juice
1/4 cup honey
2 tsp. fresh jalapeno pepper, chopped
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. ground pepper

Combine all ingredients and serve.

Mojito

Ingredients:
10 fresh Mojito Mint leaves
1/2 lime
2 tbsp. sugar
1 cup ice cubes
1 1/2 oz white rum
1/2 cup club soda
Directions:
Cut the lime into 4 wedges.Place mint leaves and 1 lime wedge into a sturdy glass. Crush the mint and lime to release the flavor. Add 2 more lime wedges, the sugar, and crush again to release the lime juice. Fill the glass almost to the top with ice. Pour the rum over the ice, and fill the glass with club soda. Stir, taste, and add more sugar if needed. Garnish with the remaining lime wedge.
